Ennismore Gardens: Interior

Internal Refurbishment of Communal Area

Location: Knightsbridge, London

Project Type: Interior Refurbishment

Date: May 2022

Client: Faraday Property Management

City Restoration were contacted by long-term client Faraday Property Management Ltd, specialists in residential property management and building surveying. The company had been managing a beautiful period property in Knightsbridge, and were interested in updating and refreshing the internal communal areas to provide an improved shared space for all building tenants and visitors.

The extent of works to be carried out was enormous, with Faraday Property Management wanting to refresh a huge range of aspects from the flooring and lighting to electrical wiring and internal decoration. Fortunately, we have a diverse collection of skills and niche talents on board, along with an extensive network of experienced tradespeople, enabling us to carry out works of this kind with confidence.

Stage 1 of the project involved the removal of existing carpets, followed by the installation of bespoke certified fire doors compliant with UK legislation and electrical repairs to support new communal lighting. Stage 2 involved the installation of new carpeting and decoration, styled sympathetically to preserve the property’s unique period features which add character to the building.

Although this project had to be carried out in an occupied building, meaning additional care had to be taken to reduce dust and noise, we successfully completed all refurbishments within 8 weeks.
