City Restoration were asked by the experts at Bamptons Property Management to assist with refurbishing an iconic warehouse – a WHARF (Warehouse At River Front) building on the Thames in Bermondsey. The external refurbishment was long overdue, and Bamptons were keen to bring back the original character, beauty and personality of the building.

Scaffolding was erected to enable our team to survey the full extent of the works required. It was during this survey that we uncovered some structural issues that needed further exploration. We worked with a trusted structural engineer who was happy to advise on the necessary remedies and added these additional tasks onto the schedule alongside the work previously agreed with Bamptons. This included roof repairs, waterproofing, brickwork, HeliBar repairs, bespoke carpentry and decorating.

Although finding unexpected structural issues created a new challenge, it was a challenge we were able to overcome successfully. Within 12 weeks all repairs and restoration works had been completed, and Bamptons Property Management were thrilled with the results.
