Buckingham Gate

City Restoration were contacted by HML Group to provide external refurbishment and decoration to properties on Buckingham Gate in central London. We are proud to have an excellent relationship with HML Group, specialists in the block and estate management market, providing professional restoration works for a number of properties in the group’s 100,000-unit portfolio.

Our team were tasked with waterproofing terraces along with renewing insulation and providing a replacement covering for the building’s flat roof. These tasks were tackled first by erecting scaffolding to the flank elevation initially. We were able to remove this scaffolding shortly before Christmas in 2021.

Stage 2 of the project commenced in the new year, with scaffolding being erected to the front and courtyard elevations. This would allow for all remaining work – ranging from carpentry and brickwork to additional roofing and leadwork – to be carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

With the entirety of the project taking 24 weeks to complete, our team were on site at Buckingham Gate during the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II. While this presented a major logistical challenge, we were pleased to deliver the project on time & on budget.
